About EBAMA

The Ethiopian Bay Area Muslims Association (EBAMA) is a member organization founded in the year 2001 and based in San Jose, California. EBAMA is dedicated to fostering religious awareness, providing support to the Ethiopian Diaspora Muslim community in the Bay Area, and creating a strong sense of unity and togetherness.

At EBAMA, we’re a registered 501(c)3 organization, backed by a welcoming community of over 200 families. Our team, led by the Board of Directors, Board of Trustees, and Executive Committee, works together to make a positive impact. We offer various services that matter to you: from our fun and educational Kids Quran School, to our friendly Dawah & Monthly Dinner Nights, to the joyful gatherings of Ramadan Iftar & Eid celebrations, and the respectful support of Islamic Burial Services.

But we don’t stop there. We’re also dedicated to giving back! We collaborate with other groups, provide assistance to orphanages and widows, ensure access to clean water, contribute to mosque development, and offer support during emergencies.

Dear Brothers and Sisters,

It is with great sadness that we inform you our community center was lost to a fire last night. At this time, the cause is unknown, and we are awaiting further investigation.

Inshallah, we will provide updates as soon as more information becomes available. Let us come together in patience and prayer during this difficult time.

May Allah grant us strength and guidance.
